1 1/2 cups of uncooked rice.
3 cups fresh water.
One 10.5 oz. Can of condensed mushroom soup.
Two 5 oz. Cans of meat, say tuna, salmon or what ever you have.
One 15 oz. Can of mixed vegetables, you can add another can of vegetables if you like more veggies.
This is a quick and dirty meal that will feed three hungry people easy. Four if you have something like bread to go with it. It took maybe 20 minutes from looking at what I had to work with to dishing up.
Put rice and water in your rice cooker, turn it on to start the cooking cycle. If you don't have a rice cooker you should, they are so handy for making simple meals. Mine was picked up from the Goodwill for a couple of dollars. I think my rice cooker is two quart capacity. Three cups of uncooked rice is all you want to cook in it.
If the canned goods are not at room temperature take the labels off and put them in warm water. Remember you have to hold the can to open and empty them so don't get them too hot. Also if you get them too hot they can and will explode, I have seen it happen. Please keep that in mind if you use boiling water to heat the canned goods.
When the rice is done open all the cans adding then into the rice pot with all their liquids, mix them all together this is the time to add your hot sauce or other seasonings. My rice cooker has a keep warm function so I can put the lid back on to keep things warm and ready to dish up.
