Highway 101 closed due to Minnesota River flooding, this is right as the river begins to enter flood stage, far from the peak. Reference picture for the next scene, this shows you just how "close" I could get to the actual flooding, legally, which wasn't all that close. The barrier was a good 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile away from the flooded bridge, which you can see way off in the distance. Had I not had my 500mm mirror lens with me, there would be no way I could have gotten the next shot.
