The Dwight K. Schrute Memorial Fund
That was Dwight K. Schrute, a former employee at an unnamed paper supply company in the Northeastern United States. He was diagnosed with Heinsbergen syndrome in October of 2005, which put him into a coma when he heard the news. He was under intensive care for a month until he died on December 31, 2005, his friends Jim Halpert, Ryan Howard, and Michael Scarn by his side.
This single, named "The Rites of...", was produced in conjunction with the Dwight K. Schrute Memorial Fund, a not-for-profit organization devoted to stopping deaths caused by the news of a Heinsbergen syndrome diagnosis.
