After their hug, the rain began to fall. The cops took their statements, and the Lightfoot brothers explained everything that had happened; If it weren't for the Manticore and Laurel backing them up, it was very possible they would've been arrested. As the statements of everyone else were being taken, they sat on the curb, the gravity of everything they went through in the last 24 hours finally hitting them. It hurt in the best way the end of an adventure could hurt and they could finally stop thinking of the 'coulda, shoulda, woulda's,' and focus on the future.
Onward is an absolutely amazing movie, definitely one I would recommend everyone watch at least once.
I have way too many Feelings about Ian and Barley.
