not sure about the pacing in this one. i feel like i ought to have transitioned marie pulling herself onto the counter better, and maybe done a panel of grey taking the cap off his meds. but maybe those would have been superflous, i don't know D: blarg. amatuer comicking.

I think the pacing is fine. You got six panels not including the underlying background. Any extras of Grey & the meds might detract from the theme of this scene.
It's really a co-inky-dink you mention this, because I'm working on a mini-project where the subject's expression must transition from stoney neutral to grief-stricken.
I started with two panels but three works better. I'm not sure four would be any smoother or add anything. It's purely an experient
