This would definitely work well as a cliffhanger climax for a comic with this page and there's some very nice effects here with the electrocution and X-ray effect and the expressive nature of our superhero's moustache and tail.
As for what might happen next I'd think that there will be thrashing tentacles obscuring the view and a leather coat floating on the surface of the water and it looks like our hero was devoured. Though just outside the tank there's a series of wet pawprints to show that somehow he'd managed to get loose from his bonds and slip out of his coat as the octopus was grabbing him, as he lives to fight another day.
