This pretty bird is Yakala(pronounced Ya-kul-uh) which means 'Eagle'
He is another permanent resident at the center, who has been there long before I even started volunteering there. He has an unfortunate run in with some power lines, and the resulting damage made it so his right wing had to be amputated.
Some have asked if I Photoshoped this picture to remove the background. I have not. He has a rather large enclosure and with strong frontal lighting, like the sun behind me, the background and walls don't show up as the foreground subject has plenty of light for a good exposure.
