when did you get these rumors? last time I went- yeah, the ride was redone. but Figment has a sign in the place(it kind of stands out if you look in the right area), trading pins, and a mascot walking about that got his own Figment hut

When I went to Disney World about 13 years ago, they where talking about removing it because it was too old,. Though the way memory is, it may have just been one of the tourists talking.

I went maybe.. 3 or 4 years ago.
but from what I've read. he WAS removed, Disney got complaints (like stoker said), then they put him back.

eerr. I should have worded that as "they took him out, changed the ride without him, then ADDED him into the newer, worser, ride"

I went there when they first changed it. it was awful. The only thing I remember about it was the Kodak sponsor, which was plastered and mentioned everywhere on the ride.

the new version of the ride is awful but he still lives on!

I wasnt sure what the ride was, at first it looked like it was just kind of meandering through an office of some kind

the only good thing about the "imagination institute" (with eric idle) is that when it's super hot out, you know you can go in there and sit in the cool air conditioning because no one else will be around.

They put him back into the ride itself too, actually, after they got enough complaints about its Figmentlessness. Unfortunately they cranked up the Annoying Meter to 11 when they did it. e_e

Its not as bad as I was expecting.

it's not exactly the kind of ride I'd find apealing; but, that's my taste.

same here when i went in 2000 i wasn't pleased about the ride at all it seemed to be boring and not fun to go on it

CGI was what got me too; I've no idea why I never mentioned it, but mention everything else instead

You know, there just isn't enough of this guy out there... same with the mascots of both water parks over at Disney World.

there's water parks?

Yeah. Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Both have alligators as mascots, one is blue (Ice Gator) and is into skiing and snowboarding and so on, and the other one is orange-brown (Lagoona Gator) and is kind of a beach bum. Really likes surfing. Nobody ever does any art of them, though, which is kind of sad. The only image of Lagoona on a furry site that I know of is the photo I took of a magazine cover they had of him at the park as a joke.
