Style Challenge: Gobliiins series
As a prime child during the golden point and click adventure game years, I can say that Coktel Vision's goblins series was something I had both laughed at and struggled with for absolute years. But really the game has just about everything I love about a game in general...
Very quirky Fantasy/Medieval scenarios
Funny gibberish voices and tons of visual emotion
Puzzles you actually have to think long about, and can have a laugh when you finally do solve them
Having a Panflute, and not just music but an actual item to use in a puzzle
A lot of the silly flattening/inflation scenarios you all expect from me now
(Werewolf) transformation scenario that the character actually adapts too instead of trying to cure
Retro game with a Composer from Europe
Just being top notch ridiculousness (that still stays cohesive) in general
...
So yeah I had to get to it in a sprite style challenge eventually, I mean just so exaggeratedly charming in all respects. Pierre Gilhodes is the artist credit, so real good on him. Though it was hard to get pixel perfect screens for this one, I think I got a fitting palette despite potentially jumping between all three games (as well as the amiga and dos versions of them) for reference.
