Mardi Gras themed pic, done half for FWA and half because I needed something to do apart from commissions or I was gonna go crazy. ;^_^ I almost went crazy with this though. There's SO many layers in this, it just became unruly trying to make even tiny changes. I know there's things I can improve, but I'll chalk them up as a learning experience for next time.
Oh, and because you guys can't stop commenting on them... Liz bought the beads. She didn't "earn" them. She is both modest and a cheater. ;) Sorry to crush your fantasies! lol

The urban legend around it is that women get people to throw them beads by flashing their breasts. This is apparently true mostly in the French Quarter (where the parades don't go due to narrow streets and lots of overhead obstructions; parades don't have the throw-to-flashers 'tradition') and after people have imbibed lots of alcohol.
... and here we see Liz with beads and alcohol, but we all know that Liz doesn't do that, so it's just teasing to imply that she 'earned' them.

Ah, there are other ways to get beads. XD You can go to some parades and they'll just throw beads out into the crowd. I spent my early childhood in Louisiana and had a TON of a beads from parades. My Mom recently moved back to Louisiana, actually, and her, my aunt, my grandparents, and my aunt's whole family went to lots of parades. This included two small girls who now have a ton of beads to play dress up with. :3
