An overview of the baramor enclave + some info about it.
Below is some additional information about it, that
couldn't fit in the overview picture.
- That´s not fungus-wood -
Much of the wood that the encalve is build from is made using the surrounding forest.
But this tree-sort is quite heavy and very problematic for it´s light-weight inhabitants to move around and handle.
So it has been necessary to have hired woodworkers from Baramor assist the enclave in their most heavy of works.
Such as some founding work and the fence.
- Hollowed oak of rule -
The hollowed tree where Minalasi resides, is one of the oldest things in the enclave.
Despite being hollowed out by chipping and scraping over many years, it is still alive and well.
- But, there is 6 huts? -
Since the beginning, there have been 6 patriarch huts, and there will always be 6.
Lahi´blair uses one of the unused ones as an extended archive storage.
- I have seen that quite a few times now -
The Baramor enclave has its own symbol.
A ten pointed stylized sun, often depicted on a red background, is the enclaves chosen crest.
It can be seen in many places in depictions throughout the enclave.
But is used mostly for formal activities, often with humans involved.
- Does seem a little tooooo advanced for scavs... -
If it does, E´seph or late patriarch Ralkan probably made it. Both really skilled problem solvers/builders.
They both made things such as - primitive gabions, water collectors and irrigators.
Many designs they copied from humans, but some things they figured out themselves and made a not-so-graceful
version of what humans "maybe" already have.
- An isolated enclave that thrives -
While your typical enclave will trade females between nearby enclaves to keep the population "healthy"
The baramor enclave is not one such case.
Not only is it very isolated, but seems to have a feud with the big enclaves in the south.
This is one of the reasons why Minalasi is very happy for Lahi´blai´s skills at archiving and personal informa noting...
They struggle a bit in this department, but endure!

I've seen gabions before, just never knew that's what they were called. On the matter of younglets, I've wondered what a modern or near future enclave would be like; would they have guests come in occasionally to let the little rat-bird tots experience the world, like a guest speaker? Would their ratio of males to females have stabilized closer to 1:1, so that the females were not so cloistered and interaction between the sexes was more common?
Sorry??
You hide something like that and people will try to figure it out. Not only that you're fighting against how the human brain figures out language.
They've done tests and studies, that for the majority of words, as long as the first and last letters are correct, or visible in this case, most people can automatically correct or see what the word is.
You're also fighting against people who have played video games that 'try' this same method to obscure clues.
