Mmmm mud is only starting to warm up! :D

But alas there is no access to muddy lands where I can ride to. I mean I do have a bigger range now that I upgraded my bike, but no mud about that I can get to until the lifting of this funk that is going around.

Biking allows ya to get places that cars just cant go, lets ya slow down, pull off and take pictures. Gives me a space and a place to breathe.

Nope, but I’ve been out at Padilla Bay before. Went kayaking there last summer launching from the boat launch at Bayview. Its a beautiful territory! This is Sandy Point, which is South of Cherry Point.

Okay I haven't been out there in many years. I grew up in Blane in the to 60s and early 70s.

Ooh cool, I ride out there all the time. Its been soooooo quiet since they closed the border though. There isn’t much for traffic at all at the moment.

Ya know, the local historical society still runs The Plover Ferry in the summer months for the crossing from Blaine to Semiahmoo

Yes I do know that... I remember when the Alaska Packers cannery was still canning salmon in the 60s. The Plover has an interesting history, I know a few of the people that saved her and helped rebuilt her. I also know/knew a couple of her former captains that helped rebuild her some years back. It's a shame that has happened to that historical bit of local history.

It would be fun to get together with you and share some of the local history I remember.
