We do listen to critique! *gasp*
Anyhow, here are my suggested fixes for Racush to make on the sculpts. As there was a very mixed opinion on the eye size, ive only resized them –slightly-
The front of the muzzle has been narrowed compared to the old version on the left. And I have also reshaped the ear a little. Also, from the utter top view I shortened the muzzle, though I do warn this will make the side view even SHORTER than it is now. So that may not be done as I fear that may be way too short even for a fennec.

Awesome that y'all listen to feedback.
I think the shorter muzzle works better on both views. The refs below seem to show the muzzle at about an eye-and-a-half beyond the eye, vs your current sculpt that seems to do two, maybe two-and-a-quarter.

Eye size is always a matter of opinion and style in these matters unless you are actively duplicating the _precise_ proportions of the wild animal in question's face, which practically noone dies. Larger eyes and eyebrows are derived from a cartoonist's shorthand to make emotional expression easier. Since part of what people look for in avatars nowadays is the ability to express themselves, it's a thing you don't want to toss out completely.
Fennecs have very few differentiating markings on their face aside from the possible dirty dark marks under their eyes and slight whitening of the lower part of the head and underbelly.

That shot is very dark in comparison to most fennef foxes, but ut's detailed enough to get you an idea of where the markings lie.
My suggestions to you:
-- the eyes are way too far out. It'd be wise to either expand the head to be a little rounder, or find a way to bring the eyes in. If you look at all the refs, even on a 3/4 like view, you still see a good bit of the other side of its face, especially in front view. The big ears and eyes with round head and short snout is its main appeal in making it so cute.
-- you've rounded out the snout a lot better, but if you look, the snout is still very very short in comparison to the head in the refs. I might suggest shortening it a bit further if you want it to be correct. However, it could stay this way and not be too much of a problem. though the round expanding of its face should fix this.
-- The fennec head does not look so triangular when considering the front look. In fact it is quite round and petite. I think however that it is the hair making it look like that. I might suggest making the hair on the edge more spread out toward the ears so its not the only piece on there, or perhaps making it a little smaller. This is a very very minor notice though.

ahhh the rest is purely a style thing and how I draw things. Its supposed to have a cartoony element, and to change the posiition of the eyes would almost require a complete new nead which racush really dosnt have time for right now.
I actuallly have most of those links saved already XD but thanks anyway.

I am very much liking the changes you've done. the new ear looks great and has more depth to it.
To be honest, the other reason I really like this is because it's in your/Racush's style. I wouldn't mess with the eyes that much because then you'd actually be going a bit away from your guys style of avatars... if that makes sense. You guys don't do super hyper realism, and i like that. But you take very predominant features of the species you're working on and adapt it to fit into your style. In my opinion, they're still very much recognizable as being the species they're marketed as.
I understand people want smaller eyes, but look at your corvids, you did your eye style with them and they look fantastic even though birds don't have eyes that large. It's the process of giving animals human features... anthropomorphism! XD Win!
So yes, that's my two cents. These do look like fennecs to me. Fennecs in your style. I'm sure with the textures on them they'll look even more like Fennecs to everyone, and the entire build will come together and make more sense. Kudos to you for posting these shots and listening to critique and not just going "Nyah stfu and buy, bitches" That's also got me to respect what you two do that much more! :D
If you ever work on horses.. i so require to be included XD
