I was surprised that I could actually identify it from details in the pic, it amused me that somebody was so fond of their lever action that they had it included in a commission; and a gun company named after a fish never stops being funny.

XD!!! I hate bolt-action guns with a passion (seriously, how do you EVER have time to get off a second shot if you miss??????) and I do love my little 30-30. ;) I adore the lever-action, man, it makes me not totally suck when shooting. XD!!!

That being said I also have a soft spot for my little semi-automatic .22.........it's just the funnest gun EVER for target practice. I could plink away at a target for hours with it. However, that little .22 has never put meat on the table, whereas the 30-30 is so nice, half the time I have to fight to get it back from people who borrow it, LOL! My dad has a really fancy rifle, impressive scope, made for a lefty like him...and he admitted he actually prefers my little Marlin, even though it means he has to shoot right-handed. XD!!!!

It's a great gun, silly name aside, I just LOVE mine. :) I find it ideal for deerhunting up here in the swamps. :D

If you can recognize my gun from the drawing (and btw, the drawing is SO AMAZING, they got every detail perfect and I just adore the style, also the loose sketchy feel makes it seem all the more awesome!) I take it to mean you like to shoot? :D

I don't really have a problem with the Marlin. Decently accurate, fair factory trigger, and the action can be slicked waaaay up with a little patience and a dremel. I think I would lose my AK fanboy card though if I didn't point out that you can buy a Saiga for roughly the same price (new that is).

Yeah but my Marlin was also a Christmas gift years ago from my dad. ;) One of the best Christmases EVER, might I add!!! Beautiful new gun under the tree, bow on the scope...I had a box of ammunition in my stocking, shit you not. XD!!! He figured it'd be a good gun for me because before that I was borrowing HIS rifle to hunt with, and it's HUGE, unwieldly, bolt-action which I hate, and hard for me to even LIFT (I'm a small fellow. My dad is not.) and most importantly I'm right handed, his gun? Is for a lefty. He knew how hard I was struggling. :)
