Well these guys have a better perspective, being predators and potential prey. They can understand what it feels like to need to live cautiously, as well as the need to take those risks in order to hunt for themselves. It's possible that they feel an air of cautious optimism because of this issue, but I suppose it's also possible that since predator prey relationships are a rare and relatively new concept, it's still somewhat of a novelty that nobody can say will work with any certainty yet.
Ezra and Jenn definitely have faith in themselves and each other, but they're obviously looking through a haze of mutual love that was built upon a near fatal attraction. Maybe the parents are right? Maybe the Hunt family are hoping these two can break the established norms and prove there is hope for the future, while the Aela family are simply being pragmatic?
