Although I'm pretty shit at producing, I'm kinda happy with this rough draft. There's plenty more that could be done, but I think it would nice to show this to others to get their opinion.

The DAW I used was Cakewalk (I believe it's only for windows), it's free and pretty good. The synth pads and bass came from presets on the stock synthesizer that comes with Cakewalk. The piano sound is the Soft Piano from Spitfire labs. Excellent sample library with a good amount of really good sounds for free. It's actually pretty amazing what you can get for free.
To be honest, this was the first thing I "finished" and I started this last night; I've been working with this DAW on and off for only about 2 or 3 weeks, so the only advice I can give is don't be afraid of looking up tutorials, even for the most basic stuff, and just work on projects, and start getting used to what you have.
For me and how I even got this project somewhat going is that the melody and chords were already written, I just put them into the DAW and just added stuff that seemed like it would've made sense to have (support the chords with a synth pad, ground the whole thing with some bass). And intuit the structure based upon the idea a growing texture.
Hopefully you can take something from all of that rambling, hope this helped.

I’m sorry, but could you elaborate on that? Never heard the term “dragged” to refer to structure before.
I will say though, the structure was very slapdash; I was mainly just trying to get some product to set a foundation for some of the ideas of instrumentation, melody and harmony as well as the concept of the growing texture.
