You're one of a kind, believe me
I've searched the nation.
I hoped to find, one of the
equine persuasion.
(Where) in the world will I hide,
if I steal Sarah-Jane?
You don't need to fight,
it'll be okay.
Darlin', I want to see this through.
I'll make the scene with you.
I love you Thirty-Thirty so much!
Don't trot on by, swishin' your
tail by my table.
Don't waste your time, chasin' your
boy to your stable.
(Where) in the world will I hide,
if I steal Sarah-Jane?
You don't need to fight,
it'll be okay.
Darlin', I want to see this through.
I'll make the scene with you.

Heh, maybe so! ^_^ All I know is, I quite enjoy the Star Trek animated episodes, a lot of them were written by Star Trek writers like David Gerrold and D.C. Fontana, among others. They keep a lot of the spirit of Star Trek in them quite handily. Just wish they were allowed to use the Star Trek music score tho...
Anyway, neat picture you got here, and now I demand Rule 34 of 30-30 and the Robot Unicorn. XD Robot Unicorn gets his wish!

Yeah, the toy-shilling and the forced morals at the end were cringe-worthy to me, even as a kid. I never bought the toys for Bravestarr because I thought they were crappy. Because the toys failed, the show failed.
However, I bought the heck out of the He-Man toys, which were originally made to go along with the Conan movie, but had to be changed as that deal fell through.

I actualy didnt know that. I thought they were made as toys and funimation was comissioned to make a telelvision series to do that for them I had to have ahd jsutabout every figure but the walking fart joke skunkor. XD whe i was growing up, just not any of the accessories. liek teh attack track or the battle ram. or any of the good cool vehicles. but yeah they were mighty cool XD
Heehee! I loved him cos he was like.. the next step up from 'My Little Pony'. I dunno... I was jsut like "Eee, giant talking pony!" XD
It was the coolest concept ever and he could transform.: 3
(always drove me nuts how little ponies ever managed to do anything without fingers. XP)
Man I should pull out the boxset I have and watch s'more episodes... one day i'll get the rest of the boxsets...

I wish I could squeeze out the saturday morning glee from my intense feelings for this picture and drink it later on the train, and my skin would like glow? And there would be this afterimage of a unicorn horn above my head? And people would be afraid, but curious.
Your welcome Rox, striving for awesomeness should be the goal of everyone around here! Though sometimes mood dictates 'sweet can!' and 'cool pic duder' more often than I would like to admit.
I say, if you can say something silly and get a compliment or some constructive crit in there at the same time it is worth the extra time/effort.

Yeah, it's funny how that works. So many people seem to love Thundercats . . . when I was a kid, I did too, but I look back at the show and I cannot manage the nostalgia for it . . . it's just an awful show. Bravestarr I imagine would be the same way; some appealing character designs, but the show itself is just bad.
The pilot and a few episodes of Thundercats had some actual tension. But the animated voice flaps were so stretched out that every character seemed to talk in slow motion. It's really unbearable to listen to. I think I mostly liked how the magic sword could call out to the team and give them a boost of their magic powers. The music and effects made things more fun. If only the characters would just shut up. :)
You know, now that I think about it, the fact that I've got such fond, if sparse, memories of Bravestarr might be an indicator that I was gonna be the sort of person that had a real taste for the cheese of entertainment. Back then, though, though, I think everyone just wrote it off as my being ten years old.
Gotta love those trips back to the '80s ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kw5s3CB_1pE ), though. This was actually my second favorite cartoon back in the day, earning itself an article in my Looking Back series ( http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/co.....ity/blog/14798 )

I think something may have gotten misrepresented along the way here. While the article is indeed on the same site as the Nostalgia Critic's work, it's not his work, nor am I the Critic. Wish I was sometimes, though. The blog post I linked to was one of my own, written under my real name. I'm glad I'm good enough to be confused for somebody famous, though. Heck, maybe this will be enough to get Mr. Walker to do an NC episode on it.
Anyway, thanks for the art... and the compliment. Both are appreciated.

WOW! I got a bit confused there. I just saw NC's picture at the top and assumed the review was done by him. I'd like to instead compliment YOU for an insightful review and finding the good stuff in with the cheese.
I have seen a few of NC's video reviews, and I naturally assume that it's funnier if he finds more fault with a piece and overreacts to it in a cartoony fashion.
Thanks for the review!

That's quite alright. I probably should have said something a little different when I originally posted the link.
And I'd like to thank you again for such an amazing compliment. The fact that someone would get my work confused with his just because it's on the same site is really quite flattering. It really made my week.
It sounds like you like NC for the same reason almost everyone else does. Those overreactions are great.
Also, you're quite welcome for the review. I've already got a half-dozen in that particular blog section (search "Looking Back" and quite a few of them will be mine) with more on the way.

Thank you so much! I've glommed onto a few characters from the '80s and really been a fanboy about them, pulling them out of the kid shows they came from and adapted them in my own thoughts. Typical fanfic silliness on the brain. But I hold back from trying to ripoff the old days most of the time. Here, I could have tried to recreate the style exactly, but I didn't think it'd be fair to myself.
I kinda cheated and did some airbrushing there, just because he's got airbrushing on him in the game. He's actually just polished chrome and the colors come from the background in the game. I worried that if I actually used the colors of the room reflected on him that less people would recognize who I was parodying. But the rainbow mane was thankfully enough. :)
Oh wow, I never expected Bravestarr and 30-30! I adore that old show and after watching it recently, I realized how much consistant quality in the writing and animation there was, especially from Filmation. They made some interesting shows in the day (hey hey hey! It's FAT ALBERT!), but Bravestarr takes the Karium
This is an excellent piece, too. Thirty Thirty is a great, unsung anthro-toon hero! You made some coolness here
