Y'know, this was kinda fun, coming up with various products to spice this pic up with, stuff to put on the desk, ect. This is what happens when you give me enough free time at work.

Actually, Soylent Green was the only Soylent food to conclusively be made from people, but colouring is totally irrelevant. As the Oceanographic reports stated, the plankton they used to make Soylent products is almost completely depleted. Humans were a sustainable source of bio-matter they could process for food.
Kill it with fi- ...no, that's not enough...

And here you were talking about how you feel you don't match up well to other artists. I still can't believe you said that. I think it's pictures like this beautiful piece right here that prove you wrong, honestly. This picture is freaking brilliant. :3 I love the perspective.
I really did have to take a double take on this one. At first glance it has that photorealism about it, i think its the lighting. This is really a fantastic piece the way the background is very simple in drawing technique but cluttered as in objects like a study is awesome touch. It really is a fabulous piece awesome work.
Man, what I would give to have a chair that could recline back that far. xP Cute picture. I like the background work! Lemme see. I spy what looks like Krystal giving doing "buddy Christ" pose. Speaking of the Son of God, do I see him eating a sandwich? xP I like the brand CHUG for a soda. And is that Killing Floor I see on the computer? I don't recognize the HUD entirely. My other guess would be Rainbow Six. Carrying an M8 or a Type-05?
Yup extremely well detailed. I totally agree with you that it the best when the artist have some time to think on the concept. And you did think out a lot, the room represents it owner by now. You also a master of point of the views by now, I can't draw persons from such angel only with reference, which is hard to find. Thats why I keen on ya.
I gotta say (as I'm sure has been said numerous times already), the perspective and the lighting really make this piece stand out. I would never have thought to do an angle like that. The shades look amazing in and off themselves, and I think the reflection is all but perfect. And all the little details that say "gamer" are all so true. Well, for still sane hard core gamer anyway. And the expression is great; combination of "what's up?" with "I'm a gamer and proud of it". At least, that's what I read.
Various nick-knacks, chips and a drink in easy reach (and an octagonal glass at that if I count right), three games going, a mini fridge, and a warhammer space marine (Salamanders, I do believe). This looks like a gamers den. It's that attention to detail that makes me love looking at your stuff.

Wow! I loved those glasses, they look so real! And I couldn't help noticing Jesus eating a sandwich. That was EPIC!
You surely put a lot of effort on detail for this piece, it gave it a lot of depth. And excellent use of perspective too!
Seriously, its pictures like this one that make me want to get better and better! This goes straight to my collection!

Very nice layout of stuff.
The life of a nerd.
Sexy tech. Looks like the character's foot is close to the power button, though hehe.
Nice play with the light coming into the room.
So much detail here in the lineart.
Nice rinkles in the chips bag. Most awesome thing I notice are the shades and the eyes. And the texturing in the pants is very good.

Wow. That is very comprehensive and detailed work Strype. How long did that take you exactly?
One of the really cool things about these kinds of pictures is the chance to develop a character's personality. More than just the clothes they wear and their postures, seeing this guy in his home environment is a real treat. Thank you for creating so much detail and conveying, really a story through this submission. I hope you will do more in the future.
