The Sluagh tested the air with his antennae.
"Wendy, do you remember the time at the Blue Rat? Here..."
"Oh yes, I do!" the huntress intervened, interrupting him. "That time we really almost had it ba-aahhaah! Toppio! Come on, stop it! It tickles!"
But by then the mangy rat, bored by the lack of action in that warm spring afternoon, had already targeted Wendy's face as the next object for his entertainment, licking it, occasionally letting out a cheerful squeak.
The breeder laughed.
"Don't worry, Toppio likes to lick but he doesn't bite. If anything, he drools a lot."
"Well, tell him to drool a bit les- ahahaAHAH!!!"
In all that racket, the coral-tinged nacre eyes of the dueling fairy rested on his two companions. A slight smile appeared on his lips and his wings faintly vibrated.
"It's nice to see that war hasn't put out the spark that makes us live every day." Dimitri sighed gracefully. "Anyway I don't remember this episode, Ard could you be kind enough to continue the narration?"
