this the sheath to the previous weapon posted. it straps to the back and latches to a ring in front with notch pins. as the diagram on the right implies, releasing the spring blade well sheathed knocks the base of the sheath free. it also strikes the surfer tipped fuse and gives you about 3 seconds before igniting the reservoir of black powder. the spring blade is strong enough to propel it about 30 ft, but is not good as a projectile, only for lobbing.
if i had more time, i would go more in depth on the workings, but for now that will have to wait for an edit. ^^;

now my only question is if i will get to see ros wielding this in some future pic of him? i know using the sheath would be a huge project to draw, but some time i'm gonna have to see ros opening that blade mid swing on somebody. <3
