The Patient Huntress
Did this a while ago, but forgot to upload it ^^;
Sometimes I sit down and get a spontaneous urge to draw something, then stay up all night to finish it. That's what happened here, I just really wanted to work with a semi-realistic style again (my commissions and most popular work tend to be more animated, but I still love realism).
So apparently I felt like doodling a serval huntress. The piece is watercolor and colored pencils and approx. postcard sized. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, and the original will likely be sold at this year's Anthrocon =3

Oh man, I can't imagine the amount of time that went into this. This is very good, I'm amazed at the anatomy and the realism in the picture. The fur and skin do actually look like they are covering muscle and bone, bunching up and rolling over the frame in the right places. This effect seems to be done with accentuated shading in the fur pattern in just the right areas, very nice. The shading and highlights are all placed very well, and to me add natural highlights and depth to the character. The character typeset is also interesting, very feral with just enough anthropomorphism to make it look like she could stand up and go about her business, yet she chooses to hunt in the old manner. Man, I wish I was this skilled with pencils, let alone anything artistic.
Honestly, very attractive piece of work in all.
