ABS or PLA?

My last printer was ABS and I kinda regret starting off in ABS. Scince the X axis sensor on it went and I didnt wanna replace it I think nows a good time to switch to PLA

In my experience, you'll want to put kapton tape on the print bed. It's the best adhesion of anything I've tried for PLA. Sucks for ABS though.

The black build surface that the Ender 3 comes with has extremely good adhesion when using PLA to the point that it can be really difficult to remove prints with the build surface in place unless the surface area touching the bed is relatively small. It's easily removable and flexible though, so as long as the aluminum isn't warped, it has really strong adhesion during the print and parts come off super easy after the print when flexing the print surface.

afaik most FDM printers that can handle ABS can also use PLA, as it generally runs a lower temperature and has no major needs ABS does not. i grabbed the anycubic mega-S myself.
