Well, this is the first time (at least as far as cannon is concerned at the moment) that he's ever met a god (former or otherwise).
However, you wouldn't be wrong that he's gotten… "similar reactions" from people before. This is the first time he's been mistaken as a (great)grandfather (though he doesn't know that's what "Babo" means.)
