Before doing this picture, I decided to revamp my approach to drawing eagles and my character George. I filled around a dozen pages with sketches tweaking everything about the design. When it came time to produce this polished piece, I took inspiration from viral images of "American Flag Shotgun Guy". My goal was not to recreate the viral photograph, but to simply exude some of the same raw 'murica.
