Another concept for coyote soldiers from The Shadow of the Dog Lord Anthropomorphic Fantasy Roleplaying Game.
As always, they are Oriental in influence, a stark contrast from the heavily Mediterranean influence of their discoverer, the Wolf Empire of Tar-Koldor. Because it was the Wolf Empire who discovered them and taught them the art of weapon and armor smithing, writing, reading, etc, I decided to give a hint of the Tar-Koldor armor design in their armor, hence the use of grays with a lamellar that looks sort of like the brigandine of the Empire. They wear green heraldry though, due to their worship of Kellandra, the Enchantress of the Wood and the mother of the race of coyote.
Also note the banner. All coyote soldiers carry banner on their backs afixed to poles, to represent which house they guard (the symbol) and what corps they belong to in the military (represented by the shape and number of pendants streaming from the banner).
Enjoy!
