"Who are you?!"
"I am death."
A bit of a speedpaint of sorts I did after listening to a rather cool but very doomy song. There's quite a lot I was just not able to get up to my standard with this and eventually I just got frustrated and called it done.
I thought it would be interesting to think of the cnossan concept of death as this pale white spectre. Withered and importantly, passive: the furious fire of the cnossan psyche extinguished. It is not considered evil any more than Titanikos is considered good, as its appearance harbingers a terrible warning that the wise learn to heed and are later extremely grateful for. As Titanikos guides the path where one should tread, to a wise cnossan, death too wards the boundaries of the path.
The rather poetic idea I wanted to illustrate was that in the grips of madness, Kyro sees an illusion of death in a snowstorm. The apparition appears weak and emaciated and its presence taunts Kyro, but concealed by the blizzard, it stands in space above a great chasm. In attempting to strike down the rival, Kyro would instead fall to his doom. To fight death is to lose without landing a blow but even knowing this, in Kyrophon's adolescent fury, to turn back from the brink and not charge takes all his willpower.
Anyhow, I liked the idea of this, but I don't think the execution is quite what I wanted. More of Kyro's ass should be visible and I'm still not entirely sure how I should've drawn his left leg. Anyhow, it's +EXP for ass drawing. Might move to scraps later.

Haha well the avatar of death would be quite an effective soldier I'd imagine, although I wonder what you'd have to pay him?
Thanks, the cnossi have quite a strong belief in the natural order and in inevitability. I think it fits them to be wary but accepting of death as a neutral force of nature.
