His name is Alychrim! He is based off of the Peacock Mantis Shrimp. His personality and fun facts are pretty much me finding a cool animal and how to anthropormorphize it haha Altho man this is such a complicated design, I'm def gonna end up simplifying this in future drawings lol

[EDIT] So as of late I've been getting into roleplaying with a friend of mine and have since learned a lot about Al as his personality unfolds xD so the additional information below has been updated to reflect this newfound knowledge. Updated info will be [ written in this color in brackets].
Some additional fun facts:
-He has abilities of a mantis shrimp in proportion to a human. So one factor is his eyes can see a much wider spectrum of light (UV, visible, and polarised), But also as such, he'd have difficulties telling apart slight changes in colors that are similar to each other. While, it's impossible to really know how a mantis shrimp experiences sight, I would imagine in this interpretation to play a part in how he picks mates or partners. [ I previously speculated that Al would be very good at reading people. I was wrong. I was very wrong. He turned out to be a lot less serious than I anticipated, with his main focus being "Is this person interesting?" followed by "How can I get into their pants?" He actually doesn't really think too deeply at all, even actively avoids any situations and conversations that seems to be leading to deeper thought. ]
-He also has 3 sets of arms, but the first two have club-like ends, which, as with a mantis shrimp, he has the ability to shoot out and punch at the speed of a pistol with tremendous pressure. And particularly under water the resulting speed would create cavitation bubbles that can even produce light and heat. Basically, his punches will literally kill somebody. Which is a dangerous combo considering his temper that would make him want to punch things haha. And he knows this, so he keeps them retracted at all times and is careful where he aims if he needs to explode on something.
- And yes you read it right, he both likes and dislikes intimate relationships. A love-hate thing? Goes along with his whole contradicting personality thing lol [This actually goes along with his personality to act upon his whims and avoid deep connections. It's a simple way of going thru life while living fast and furiously lol However he does care deeply for those close to him, and makes attempts to show it, albeit they often come out very strange or awkward because he himself is not very well versed in gestures to show he cares (and once again doesn't think too hard even in these circumstances xD). He also would never verbally admit that he really ***likes*** someone (a bit of a tsundere), but underneath his carefree exterior, he's very physically affectionate to those he likes.]
-[Some other fun facts, Al totally pole dances at the club cuz he lives for the attention. Also he's a Britney Spears stan, so u bet he's done performances to Womanizer and Toxic lol ]
