I wonder, never having done much of anything with model rockets -- does this explode or can it be retrieved and used again? Most of the 'big' rockets I've seen used are those 'Mexican ICBMs' a neighbor likes to set off for July 4th.

This model has flown several times, but uses a single-use E-class motor.

They use replaceable single use engines and the rockets have parachutes so they can be flown again.

I love the Nike series interceptor rockets. There were a number of active launch facilities near where I grew up in SoCal. The Nike Hercules is my favorite, I used to pass one at a surplus store in Odessa Texas, but it is gone now.

I'd try for a 3rd party E size motor that puts out a wicked smoke trail, black is a good choice. That would make it one nasty looking NIKE.
