Eternal Duelist
One fights to protect, the other fights to endanger, but they're both two sides of the same coin rolling down the road of infinity; never stopping.
Several millennium ago, a dragon became bored with human society. It had watched them war, rebuild, war, rebuild, war, rebuild and NEVER have peace. It was far from them, yet the sword was not. To many immortals it was vanity; ripples in the water so to say. However, the dragon had grown tired of this. Humanity seemed doomed to destroy itself from the moment they gained power over their surroundings.
He too was about to leave them to wither by their own hand, when he saw a boy in his town. There was nothing apparently special about the boy. In fact, that's what made him stand out. He appeared to never socialize well with the other children. In fact, he almost seemed to spite them; swiftly walking by them with an expressionless face. He didn't play the violent, life-shortening sports the others played. Nor did he commit witchcraft (drug abuse by some definitions). He was just a normal child that was overshadowed by the others.
The dragon decided to make something out of him, as he had no assertive traits that signified any danger. Besides, he was a mortal. He would only live 100 years anyway. A pet was the most he could have been to the dragon.
He would soon make his move in a cold winter night, while the boy was playing in the woods; a snowman in the making. The dragon would have questioned why the boy defied the common sense of staying in the open near others, as opposed to building it in the woods near his house. However, he understood it was so that his fellows wouldn't find and destroy it like they had in previous years. The snow made his surroundings very cloudy, but he knew the way home. Despite it being made in the woods, he was actually well within his parents property line.
A low moan echoed through the forest, sending shivers up the child's spine as he finished his snow man. Having just sat down, he hesitantly stood up before slowly looking around. Fear shook his body; not the fear of a stranger, but a wild animal. A boar or mountain lion perhaps. He didn't dare utter "who's there" as he stood in the loud snow.
There was no other noise made for the next few minutes. The boy let out a sigh of relief. "Hey." An unfamiliar voice said as he jumped in place. He immediately spun around and opened his mouth to scream. A punch to the gut made him wheeze and fall to the ground instead. His eyes weren't deceiving him. A DRAGON was floating down in front of him. A yellow dragon with a large blue fin, and sparkling horn pointed at his face!
He immediately tried to stand up and run away, but the dragon's hand pinned him to the ground; a strange and hypnotic light grabbing his soul and manipulating it while he spaced out. His limp body hit the ground a few feet away from where he was. When he finally regained consciousness, he was different... changed. He felt something curled up between his legs, and something long a droopy extending from his ears. A strange feeling of fur extended down his back against the hard snow. "Wake up, werewolf" a deep voice said from inches above his head. The boy's eyes snapped wide open before locking eyes with the dragon; massive gangs and glowing eyes above his. The boy instinctively tried to push him away, but his body was under a knew kind of instinct, and he didn't know how to respond.
His mouth stuttered out a few words as he tried to lift his numb body. "You-you-yo-you're a..." "All you need to know is I quantum manipulated your soul, and will be taking the other you to be my plaything." the drake coldly responded.
The boy's body pulsed with a foreign power, as it merged and welded itself into his body. The sparkles from the dragon's horn trickled onto his body, tickling his numb body back to full functionality. He snickered and twitched as his body struggled to get from beneath the sparkles lighting his nerves.
"Oh, does THIS bother you?" the drake asked nonchalantly, sending a pulse of magic from his horn. It condensed into sparkles and swiftly fell onto the boy's new body; his other one a few feet away. It sped up in descent, shooting at him like a magnet and getting under his clothes. He laughed with embarrassment before rolling around in the snow, trying to get away. The dragon licked his gasping body, sending so many lit up nerve signals to his brain that he couldn't laugh anymore. The poor boy could only gasp and beg as stopped rolling on his chest. A cruel smile spread over the drakes' face.
"I take it back. This IS fun." the dragon said as he lowered his head onto the boy; his head over the boy's upper body as he pinned him to the ground.
The boy squirmed and whimpered like a dog as he gave up, frightened and exhausted. It was upon hearing himself that the spell was complete.
Without knowing it, the dragon had duplicated his body, leaving the original and transforming the other for his purposes. He no longer was a helpless human child, but a lycanthrope endowed with magic power; the spell blocking his memory as his body was changed and increased in size. Red clothing was now upon his body in place of a puffy jacket and gloves. His ears were like those of a beagle, and he sported a pony-tail and wolf-tail now, in place of normal attributes for his age.
"You and I shall have a dance, cosmic. You needn't worry about your former life. You're still here. However, as you are, you are mine, and my toy to play with; swordsman." The dragon said as he teleported them off the planet and into his private realm, where no immortal would complain of his doings. When they left, his other self awoke from the snow, shivering. He was very frightened, but presumed that he had fallen asleep after sitting down and had a nightmare. However, he knew what happened was real. He smiled on the inside, still feeling the magic in his body.
