I admit, I find it interesting that you're kinda putting a well-known fetish into a story, yet treating it in a serious manner. As in the characters are acknowledging what's happening, and it's still weird, but it has real-world ramifications. Doesn't make for good fetish fuel, but that's kinda the point. =P Seeing as it would make things a tad more difficult in this situation.
Even some weird sexual stuff could make for compelling stories, if you know how to handle. The sad fact is most just use it for masturbation and little else. But perhaps that's for the best. Not everyone has the skill to introduce such elements and still tell a good story. It takes far too much work and most would rather make erotica or leave it out altogether.
Guess Aries is gonna learn how to deal with weird crap in her training. Never can tell when you meet some weirdo with an odd power.

Precisely.
I was obligated to put such a scene into the story. And in a world where magic is a day to day fact of life, you never know what could happen when squaring off with a mage.
It's twice now that Aries has encountered a mage where "fetish fuel" effects would be enacted, yet I gave it a more serious tone. Something that another comic I won't name *attempts* to do, but the sheer saturation they do makes it hard to find the core story under the fanservice, overwhelming fetish fuel and other such elements.
Aries is herein, introduced to a circumstance she must adapt to.
I even came up with a sensible reason for such a spell to exist... Riot control and non-lethal takedown for law enforcement!

Actually makes kind of sense. Also serves for a bit of humiliation for the perp when they get hit with it. Embarrassment can be an effective deterrent. So long as the lawyers don't ban its use because of "dignity" issues.
And I know what you mean about comics failing to deliver. I ran across one that was supposed to be about super-powered gladiators fighting to the death to help their employers gain military contracts involving clones of them (quite a mouthful, huh?). It ended up being boring and unoriginal, with very little harm done to anyone, but a lot of harm done to the clothes of some female competitors. =P This in a "death match" event, supposedly, with orders from on high to kill their opponents. They talk about death a lot, but it's never shown. One guy even loses his match due to being knocked-out... but that particular rule was never mentioned in the comic.
Did mention it in a lore dump document though! 'Cause of course your audience will want to read that long after the page where one "death match" ends in a KO instead!
I think it has "Kat Box Syndrome". A furry comic with tons of fanservice and little else going for it. Bland characters (sometimes inconsistent ones), protagonists who rarely struggle - or face mild challenges at best - and a plot that usually goes nowhere and does nothing. The last usually takes about thirty pages or so of reading to find out, when you could condense a lot of it into ten. Even if you couldn't, it suffers from a lack of real risk, and would actually be improved if it became a pornographic or fetish fuel comic.
That's a bad sign. If your comic ain't even good enough to fap to, then you have serious problems.
I plan to steal their concept for my own story, but I need to get my tail back in the saddle. Even if I have to start small.
Anyway, kudos again on the ideas. It may be weird, but you manage to do it in a "this is weird but not too kinky" sort of way. Which increases the potential target audience, if only a little. =P Or at least manages to avoid losing more than if it was straight fetish fuel. I kinda wish more creators in furry did this as it'd be kinda fun to see how some people's kinky fantasies could have practical uses.
The Cold War gave us awesome computers and toys. Online porn gave us reliable, fast internet connections and advanced webcam technology. Who knows what strange fruits this nonsense could yield?

The fact I keep the taboo side of things to a minimum, the fact it’s treated as down to earth and that I try to find a *practical* reason Is, at least I hope, what separates me from others.
Transformation into a pig isn’t explicit fetish fuel. There’s a *reason* for it.
Disposal of evidence.
Purpose of full body inflation?
Non lethal apprehension and detainment.
Give me any “mainstream” ‘kink’ and I could probably imagine a practical use.
It’s a good challenge as a writer to place constraints on myself.
Came up with the same for ARPR and Catherine’s proportions. A perfectly sound reason.
I’m sure you can imagine what comic I’m referring to with my earlier remarks! Hint: It’s not one you’ve mentioned.

I don't think I'm well-versed enough in webcomics, furry or otherwise, to know which one you're talking about. =P The only comic I know of that was filled with all kinds of fetishes was, well... pretty graphic in its portrayal of things. Pornographic, in fact. So unless that's the one you meant, you must be thinking of one that's more PG-13 than XXXcessive. =P But then, I am up late, so perhaps I'll come back tomorrow with the answer. Ya never know.
The sad thing is that at its core is a very cool premise. The survivors of an alien world Flee to Earth where their abilities are considered superpowers, but for the same reason the Wonka remake fell a little flat, so too does this.
One of the heroines has a weakness that causes her to inflate. Caramel.
And that weakness is exploited *every single issue*...
And that’s not getting into the weirder stuff.
