Geez. o_o why don't you just calm down a moment, mmkay? I think it's okay to upload an RL picture of yourself/pets/family -most- of the time, but not to just have a gallery full of your personal pictures because you want to show your life to all your friends.

I never said photography wasn't art. I said that photograph upon photograph of you and your friends and your pets just sitting around on a couch or in a chair or something isn't.
Basically, what I was saying is that it's okay to post your picture. And you know what? This place is pretty much the only place anyone could have to upload anything of that nature, so they do, because it's the only place they can. If you want somewhere to put a picture of your dog so you can hand out URLs to your friends, you can use photobucket.
I know Deviantart doesn't allow that, too, and they're much more strict about it, so I don't see what your problem is.
