Cravin are small humanoids with a very peculiar mixture of traits. They have dark, smooth skin ranging from cold grey to dull brown to nearly black, often with a blue hue; it has lighter colours on their belly, inner thigs and throat. A darker fur covers their back, from the neck (right below their mane of hair) to their pelvis, also covering their shoulders and their short, thick tail. A rim of dark feathers runs amidst that fur around their shoulders and across the middle of their tail. They have long, large ears, pointed and covered in fur, similar to those of a wolf. Towards their hands and feet their skin becomes progressively more scaly, in a way akin to birds; their fingers end in small talons, and similarly do their digitigrade feet.
Despite their many unsual features, Cravin have very human-looking faces. They have very big eyes, small noses, thin and dark lips, sharp teeth, and small pointy chins.
Cravin are very observant creatures. Most of them live in the wild in rather primitive clans, but it's not uncommon for some to venture among other, more civilized races. Due to their innate craftiness and readiness to learn by imitation, these individuals tend to learn very quickly the ways of civilized life; a few months tend to be enough for a Cravin to learn how to act, dress and talk exactly as if they were a human born in the city.
