Westbound view of the junction at a CSX yard in Framingham.
Branching to our left is a yard that has been closed within the past year, so trains don't cross there anymore. Branching to our right is the northern CSX Framingham yard. Heading straight away from me in this picture leads you to the western yard by Keefe Technical School, then on to Ashland Station. (This is Ashland, Massachusetts, not Kentucky, by the way.) Further down the line you come to Worcester, where the MBTA trains stop going, and Amtrak trains continue onto Worcester, then to Albany-Rensselaer Station, where the line continues through Albany, New York, to Rochester, and out to Chicago, Illinois!

theres a branch off the line to albany , this line takes a dip a little bit to the south to Selkirk (major freight yard aka the gateway to new england) and then rejoins the amtrak route at schenecdedy ny. The CSX line then branches off the Amtrak route at Cleveland and goes onto Colombus and beyond
