Here we see my M-4 clone with the sliding stock and back-up iron sights extended and ready for fun.
This was a long-term project, where I bought the parts I wanted over time.
I took about 2 years to find everything I wanted.
The value on the completed weapon would be around 16 to 18 hundred $$ were it to be purchased as a completed rifle. As I bought only the parts I wanted, the cost was less than half the package amount, and I have a truly custom rifle.

It doesn't have enough grips, lights, scopes, and tiny little legs to let it stand up and walk around of its own accord to REALLY scare California. Yes, all of California, including the ground. Flash suppressor isn't pointy enough, and it could really use a few hundred round drums in those things for attaching extra mags to a gun.
But in all seriousness, looks good. Nice to see that it's possible to get a good AR variant for under $1000, though 2 years seems like kind of a while. I'd imagine that buying parts over that length of time dulls the sharp pain in the wallet you'd feel if you got them all at once. Direct gas or piston?

"Individual soldiers were often forced to carry a breaching shotgun in addition to their standard issue rifle, but the Masterkey removes this need. The system consists of a Remington 870 12 gauge pump-action shotgun mounted on a M16 or M4 assault rifle in an underbarrel configuration, much like the M203 grenade launcher."
Such a great, simple idea, and done so well. Also, the name is so fitting. :D

Okay, now I know what it is, Back in the 1980's they made a mount that slung an 870 under the barrel of the full-lentgh AR-15. Those were boss, and I wondered where they went.
I have a Remington 870 Wingmaster Police Magnum, but it is way too long to mount under this M-4..... I may need another 870.
