It may appear that its far- right tentacle has fallen off, but I assure you that it is not as simple as that. You see, it had no reason for coming off- it had survived a bisque firing just fine. This only happened after I glazed it. And when I reglazed it, glazing over the patch the bare spot where it melted off, it drifted further away from the main body!
Seeing as Mycons usually live at temperatures not unlike those found in the kiln, and have been known to bud on occasion, I now fear that I've created a monster.
