Another character for Changeling: The Lost! Silky here was once a human, but was tricked into becoming a prisoner in an alien fae realm. There, she was turned into a silkmoth and forced to remake herself in her cocoon every night to try to achieve perfect beauty (nevermind that it's the silkworms that cocoon themselves instead of the moths - it's a dimension of fantasies and dreams!)
Rather than forever bow to the whims of the hideous fae being keeping her captive, she eventually remade herself into a dangerous flying serpent in order to fight back and escape. Now in the human world once again, she is something between moth and human, and retains some magical power to weave, to create, and to reshape herself.
