Considering his experience, I think Chucky's expressions are communicating some really complementary attitudes.

Chucky is very careful about following a checklist.

But he certainly isn't winning any awards for best pickup lines.

He's already decided that he will file a different flight plan than 'pickup lines'. (Takes some of the pressure off, doesn't it?) And they all know who the senior pilot is at this table.... If she wishes, she can gracefully talk shop for a short while, and gracefully take off.


Kitchy seems pretty well socialized and knows the language of this environment. It feels like he is very realistic about the situation and has been sincere about defusing the meeting with the students in the elevator.

I like very much how Adam has placed his hand and wedding ring out-front on the table as Ratiries approaches. Whether he's aware of it or not, he's sending an open message to her - which she acknowledges.

'Well socialized' is a good way to describe Kitchy. He's also very self confident and not afraid to approach someone(whether he scores or gets slapped across the face, he's gotta do something). Good job noticing the wedding ring. I can't remember if I did that intentionally or if I just imagined him with his left paw on the table.

I got confused by the panel layout, but that's not such a big problem.

Chucky's line in panel 2 is something I followed a little too often. I was afraid the page layout might be a little tough, glad you were able to figure it out.

Kewl, he actually said something to her without stumbling. :) I kinda get the intuition that she might be looking for more then a night of drinking with guys though, hopefully Chucky will be the lucky one since she wanted Kitchy to introduce her to the table.

Smoot was a word a friend and I 'made up' in middle/high school, Combining Smooth and Woot.

Frood (or Froody) is from Douglas Adams' "Hitchikers' Guide to the Galaxy", meaning cool, or groovy.
