Rio Summers is Lucario created by a group dedicated to enhance pokémon to be the ultimate weapons. Brutal experimentations enhanced his body; allowing it to learn quicker and adapt. The experimentation also granted him to possess the power of self-healing which regenerates damaged tissue at great speed. Also has the power to manipulate his aura energy in an offensive manner, in the form of explosive spheres of energy. Rio can understand human speech, and can communicate with humans through telepathy.

Before being programmed as a killing machine Rio was saved by Kastra and took him in as her own. With her influence Rio was able to grow up to be kind hearted to not kill and become an adventurer to see more of the world and help those who are in need.
