This one is forcecage, a barely visible magic cage to trap a critter.

I like AD&D just fine, I had always just played that, but was very resistant of and didn't like and did not understand 3.0 very much. I ran into the problem that I wanted it to be AD&D and it wasn't. Then I liked 3.5, because grid combat is <3 and it was more different enough that it was like a different game rather then ??? AD&D to me. Have not played 4E, but what I have read of it was not especially interesting. Going to try PathFinder (3.75 lol), soon.
Deep down, I'm a cape wearing vampire LARPer though.

More over, they're commissioned by
kaedwuff who is a bit on the young side for AD&D.

2 hours/level (minimum 26 hours.) You can make this spell appear as a solid wall, or a cage with bars of force. Based on the spell description, no, air cannot pass through the solid barrier version. So poor Timmy here is likely going to suffocate and die before the spell runs out unless someone decides to dismiss the spell. What I find most humorous about this is that you still have line of sight on the poor gnoll, so if you felt particularly cruel, you could say... cast stinking cloud inside of the cage, or create water until he drowns. Or summon swarm. hehehe.
Spells cannot pass through a wall of force.
However, you could give him an open Decanter of Endless Water then put up the force cage :D
I doubt there's any way a regular unarmed gnoll could destroy a magic item so it would just slowly fill up over the next day. Slowest execution method ever.
