The bloodline of what would become the Burns family was one of the strongest in magic through the world. From forging the first spells to consorting with gods and demons alike, the mage family and their arcane practices endured for generations. This lasted until the rise of science and the hatred towards magic forced them into hiding or to abandon their sorceress ways. The Burns' secret however passed on to the present, even down to the youngest member, Debora; or "Debbie" as she preferred.
Learning she was basically a witch had inspired Debbie all her life. Despite her father's wishes she studied the old ways in secret, mainly with the help of a spell book kept by her grandmother. Being self-taught however meant she left a lot to be desired. Aside from her father the only ones who knew of her abilities were her closest friends, Violet (weasel) and Jasmine (zebra), who encouraged her to try becoming a hero with her abilities; especially with the rise of superheroes in the world.
Taking the name "Charmer" Debbie now goes throughout Saturn City to try and right the wrongs using her supernatural skills. However this is easier said than done as Charmer's spells tend to either backfire, provided minimal aid, or tend to make situations worse. But she can't be fully blamed, she is a novice after all.

Darn it, *I* have a superhero OC that's a female rabbit who goes by the name "Charmer"! xD I swear I thought of her long before I ever heard about your OC. Plus their have many many differences, both in looks and in powers/skills.
But as for your Charmer, I hope she learns how to better her magic skills so she can help more people.

Haha, no need to apologize. Coincidences happen. Besides, again, while our OCs have three things in common, they still seem pretty different. I've already drawn my own (but haven't posted her yet), and she looks nothing like your OC. Plus her powers are different: she has "beauty-transformation powers" that she can only use on inanimate objects, but not people. Meaning she can disarm opponents by turning their weapons into harmless objects like toys or flowers or whatnot. She can also fly, so her fighting style is evasive and strategic.
Plus, I've been thinking about having her come across as someone with her head in the clouds, like she'll suddenly spout of about things that have nothing to do with the current conversation, so that she occasionally gets dismissed as an oddball or a ditz. Except it's a bad idea to underestimate her.
