This is a picture of Big Jim Hurt and his torchboy, Torchboy.
Big Jim Hurt is a half ogre barbarian from a monty haul campaign I played in a while back. I usually like to play big, dumb fighters as the first character in a new campaign. Due to the monty haulness, though, he had like a 14 int and higher wisdom and charisma. :P Ah well. I'm going to call his adventuring party "The Konkers." But he misspelled "Konkers" on the badge, which shows a "C" in stead.
The saga of Torchboy goes as follows:
Big Jim decided it was a good idea to have a Torch Boy on his adventures. He hired a young man named Wallace "Wally" Wallington for a copper a day. Big Jim bought a hairpin with "continual flame" cast on it, stuck it in Wally's hair, and from that point on always called him Torchboy. No matter how many times Wally protested.
One day, the Konkers went into the Rat Demon's Lair. There, the party met a gruesome fate, and only Torchboy survived. He ran, and as he escaped, the cave collapsed.
Right afterward, he discovered he'd acquired Fabulous Magical Powers. ... Of Demonic Origin... (warlock) Now plagued by the ghost of Big Jim Hurt, Torchboy leaves a path of destruction across the world, laughing manically when he isn't screaming in fear of visions only he can see.
This picture shows one of Torchboy's visions of Big Jim Hurt disapproving of his evil swath of destruction.
