It makes me think of a "graduation" theme for the most part, even with the speed-up in it.

Well, Pachbel's Canon in D Major is a pretty over-used piece of music and as a classical piece tends to fit academic scenes quite well. The original Canon Rock was essentially a fusion of metal and classical, so I guess my attempt doesn't capture the other elements well enough in the fusion.

Well, you see, Lil's "theme song" is "Memory" from the Broadway Musical, "Cats." It's a very beautiful song. I would like a dance/pop/rock remix for it, kinda sounding like "Dreams of Absolution" (Silver's Theme from Sonic the Hedgehog: Next Generation 2006)

I've done some digging around and I should be able to throw something together tomorrow or next week. I'm pretty doubtful that I'll get it to sound anything like Dreams of an Absolution and it'll have to be instrumental as I'm not too comfortable with mixing vocal tracks from one version of a song into another...and I don't have the singing voice or quality microphone needed to provide vocals for it.
Anyway, dunno if I'll be able to capture the dance/rock/pop vibe you're looking for but I'll certainly experiment with the song and see what I come up with. I may throw together a few quick mixes, send you them and ask you which one is heading in the right direction...maybe.
Anyway we should probably continue this tomorrow with notes/private messages so as to not clutter up this page. ^^;
