When I showed moyomongoose a drawing of a scene from Ultraman featuring a 1960 Chevrolet Corvair, he told me about a character in his story "Clarence Coyote and Project Courier". The character is Poindexter Fox, recently retired from Horizon Innovations, which made the time machine that brought 8-year-old Clarence from 2018 to 1960. Despite the amount of money Poindexter receives from Social Security and pension funds, he prefers to be frugal and buy low-priced cars, like the Chevrolet Spark he drives in 2018 and the Nash he drives in 1960. He also knows Clarence's biological parents from 2018 and his stepparents from 1960. Anyway, moyomongoose told me that Poindexter is possibly thinking of trading in his Nash for the Corvair...maybe in the color combination of this one. Let's hope Clarence doesn't tell him about the TV series Ultraman (which is about 6 or 7 years down the road) or Ralph Nader's book Unsafe At Any Speed.
This particular Corvair is a 1/43rd scale diecast car made by a firm called The Franklin Mint.
