Illustration: Ballad and Sondrew Sing Scary Songs
This is the second completed illustration for the children's book that grew out of my "Escapia" novel concept.
Here are Sondrew Hayne the human and his best friend Ballad Quill the gryphon, singing a "Scary Song" in a clearing near the edge of the woods.
This is part of a sequence in which they sing several types of song (The previous was Sweet Songs, the forthcoming ones are Sad Songs and Silly Songs.)
With this picture, I'm sort of trying to meld my old style with some new techniques I learned doing my (relatively) more realistic muscle artwork.
Speaking of which, just wanted to note, in contrast to much of my recent work, this is NOT intended to be "hot" in any way. It's intended as purely innocent and cute. But don't worry - more hot muscle supers are also in the works :).
