On January 1st, 2010, the Spokane Rapids were in Des Moines to face the Blanks. FBA podcaster T. Matt Latrans had flown to Iowa the night before to cover the game. That morning, while researching the matchup, he noticed something in the player notes.

He raced downtown to the hotel where the Rapids were staying. The desk told him John Stoat had stepped out for a stroll, so he hoofed it, searching the streets for the team's star shooting guard. When he finally tracked down the English ermine, the exchange was memorable-- and not entirely unexpected.

I made what I guess would be best called an audio play with Alex Vance a couple months ago, and had so much fun writing, recording and editing it. The idea for the exchange between JuJu and T. Matt had been in my head since December, and at one time I planned on commissioning a comic strip until I chose to produce an audio play instead.
