Another playable race from my setting, which these Patreon Rewards are helping Populate!

This time: the High Avalonians

I could go around and say "nah, these are totally not your standard elves" but they basically are.
Plant motif and all.
As usual, a mix between your standard elves and the very badly executed but also really cool idea from Ender's Game original ending of the plant aliens that become trees once dead, and all that.
Never understood why that ending was supposed to be science fiction, what with resurrection, soul transmigration, building a mary sue the empress of mankind (from scratch, piece by piece) and all that, but here it is fantasy so it works. 😂🤣😂🤣

Soooo... once again.
Official lore is that all Avalonians are "Titania's Children" AKA fruits of a really big tree in Avalon which is the demiplane of perfect natural order in my "it's not D&D except it totally came from it, i just twisted it around a lot" RPG setting.
The fruits are (once again) humanoid shaped and they basically need the same things as humans, but they are basically just a fantasy version of a fruit/seedpod.
They move around and once they die, you get a tree (maybe).
This ties well with all those elf-y themes like having the elves respect the trees, and "nature holds our ancestors" and stuff like that except it's no longer weird folklore it's actual facts for them.
They literally live inside their ancestors which can (to some extent) reshape their trunks because they do like to keep family around.
Also explains why those wood houses are made out of wood.
With paneling and all.
Obviously the structure is one of the ancestors, and the wood for the furniture inside is because "f- the other trees, our trees need more sunlight, so let's raze everything around them... and also we need furniture". 🤣😂🤣😂
But hey, at least all those nice bloody warzones will become nice and beautiful forests, give or take 20 years.

Due to recent events and double checking my idiocy i went "temple of doom" here and asked for an elven "kid" (he's probably older than your grandma) adjusting blocks to drive a car. 😂🤣😂🤣
