Two People, Same Person.
I looked at the Lioness behind the booth and said “Room 213” she smiled and turned around to grab a card from the drawer behind her. “Here you go sir, have a nice stay” I gave her a nervous smile and replied “Thanks” then I walked to where Donnie was sitting and motioned him to get up. He got up and we both got into the elevator that was a couple of paces to the right of the lobby. Nobody was in the elevator when the doors slid open, but there was a very lavish scent that greeted us as we entered. It kind of reminded me of a chocolate and mint type candy but it quickly dissipated as we got in and selected our floor. “Who is this guy anyway?” he stared at the flashing lights and said. “He’s my brother, I never really knew him because he moved away before I was born. My mom always talked about him so I felt as though I knew him, he visited s once but I can’t remember” I started to think about my own broth, how loving he is and how understanding he is at the same time, I couldn’t imagine being a better person if I never even knew who Steve was. We were close, a lot closer then most brothers are. Not just because of the fact that he is Bi and I’m gay, but for a lot of other reasons.
We reached to floor marked 200-250 where we heard a ‘ding’ and the doors slid open. We both stepped out and went to our left because the door in front of us was marked ‘200.’ The hall was wide just about ten feet and very long because the doors where spaced far apart, so we assumed the rooms were large. There were absolutely no one on the hall and only the sounds of muffled TVs’ radiated into the hall way. “211…212…213…214…215. Here we go” Donnie slid the Card into the slit next to the handle and the little red LED light turned green and so we opened the door. Inside was Ron, sitting on the Bed looking at us. But then he put his head down and all of a sudden something struck the back of my head and then…Black.
“gggghhhehht rrrrrrrrreeddddde kjhhee jbcan wak up any second” voices, unfamiliar but nonetheless Ominous and dark, painful and deep. “wwwhiy weeet eeee oing a off im nywa” slured, got to wake up “guss Ill im lready” “no not yet” starting to clear but still dark. God it’s hot, can’t breathe “oh he’s moving” I start to panic. I know my eyes are open but I can’t see anything. Suddenly my eyes are burned with light and I have to flinch at the pain in the back of my head. “Good son you’re up” I finally open my eyes and I see a large wolf in my face. He backs away and he sits in a seat in front of me. He sits but doesn’t say a thing; he just stares. He seems to be about 40 or so but I can’t tell. He also has a large scare on the side of his face. The big wolf finally speaks “you ran along way from home, boy. To bad it’s all in vein.” He stands up and continues “you see you’re friend here is very dangerous” he points to Donnie who is out on the bed just to my right. He pulls out his pistol and say’s “Get him to AWMDTAD HQ. He looks at me and puts the gun to my head. ‘Oh god no not yet’ he pulls the hammer back and says “I’m sorry but you’re no longer needed” he tightens his grip and for a second I felt like dieing. Then I heard the bang and then the ring of my ears, But no pain.
When I looked up at the wolf his fur was dotted with a fine mist of blood, which showed very distinctively through his white and grey fur. I knew he shot somebody but whom? I quickly looked down at myself. ‘No, He didn’t shoot me’ I looked around the room but as quickly as I did I was in the air and was being dragged by my collar out of the room. I looked at the seat I just left but what caught my sight was Ron, sitting in a chair with his head half missing.
I don’t remember what happened next because I was knocked out again by a bangle tiger. But the next thing I knew I was in front of a shack, an old tore down shack with a rusted roof and visible paint that was peeled paint on the rickety, wooden frame. We went inside and by this time I was able to stand on my own. The Bangle tiger opened up a hatch that was embedded into the wooden floor of the shack and he climbed down, we all followed suit. Donnie was next to me and he was just as scared as I was. A very scared look in his eyes and a half open mouth to express just how confusing this was. The large wolf turned to us and put a burlap sack over my head.
The next five minuets were filled with fright, darkness, but most of all the fear of what these people would do to Donnie and me. I heard the light humm and buzz of machines. I could feel the ground moving below us but I had no idea what was causing it. A couple of seconds later I was pushed forward. Instinctively I walked ahead, not knowing if were about fall, but the ground stayed under my feet and I walked as fast as I could, trying not to fall. I heard people moving around me and talking, nothing to distinctive just a lot of chatter. A hand pushed me in a way to let me know that I had to turn. I heard a bang and the chattering stopped. It was quiet and a voice came from the front of me “sit down” I didn’t want to sit but I played it safe and sat. I landed on a hard metal surface and the bag over my head was removed. “Sleepy times over you pink bastered” the large wolf sat across from me and reached over the table and grabbed a large pistol. He toyed with it and finally looked at me and said “you know what kind of gun this is?” I looked at it and knew what it was. I said, with a very calm voice I never knew I had “A Desert Eagle .50 cal Action Express.” He chuckled and said. “You know your weapons kid.” His smile faded into a face that was meant to intimidate, but that doesn’t work on me. My dad made sure of that. “You know what Anti-Matter is?” I had no idea. “No” he laid the gun on the table and stood up. “Like I said, your friend isn’t what you think.” He continued “You know what the Cold War was about.” I answered “the time after World War II where economical and military tension increased between the Soviet Union and the satellite states.” He just laughed. “Ya, that’s what the history books say, but what you don’t know is that we were afraid,” He paced around me talking. “You see, the people who write these books don’t want to tell you that one time in our history we were weak. We, the great and powerful America, feared what another country can do to us; a country thought to be below us.” He stopped in front of me. “just before the start of the cold war, The Soviet Union was researching a new type of energy source, trying to make a bomb as well as a radiation free power source because what’s a ‘radiation free’ power source with out it’s military uses?” I shrugged my shoulders. “IT’S CRAP that’s what it is.” He sat down and continued “A year after they began research they found a particle. A very dense and very powerful ion of Anti-Matter; that’s what they named it after they found out that this material has no matter in it what so ever. It’s odd I know but we have never been able to study it, because it is so unstable” A Human in a white coat walked in with a laptop and set it on the metal table and left. The wolf looked at it and typed a few keys before he spoke. “This material is the most unstable substance known to man. Plutonium it’s self is very unstable because it reacts with certain material in order to start a chain reaction to make an explosion those materials, unfortunately, are bountiful in the open atmosphere. Anti-Matter, on the other hand, reacts with what ever comes in contact with, contact results in a total annihilation of the two particles, any of the particles can include; air, water, or even the neutron of a carbon atom. And it makes something like this.” He turned the laptop around and what was onscreen was to ambiguous to make out but when I seen a blue orb I knew it was the earth. I watched, not sure what to look for, suddenly a little dot emerging from the dark side of the earth began to jet away from earth. It kept going for 30 seconds then the camera lens was engulfed in a bright blue light. Then it dimmed and all I seen was a massive circular mist of space clouds that was not there a second ago. This space cloud was four times the earth’s size but then the camera flickered and went out. He turned it back around and said. “The soviets were able to harness and distribute Anti-Matter in a little glass and metal case. Magnets are at either side to ensure the Anti-Matter does not come into contact with the casing itself.” “What does all this got to do with Donnie?” he stopped and looked at me. “I’ll show you” he took the computer and put it in my lap. Onscreen was some thing lying down and people were cutting it open. “When the Soviets transported this Anti-Matter it was all in a form of a bomb. That is why the American government system developed a team that specializes in finding, tracking, obtaining and disposing of this material. We have so far found exactly 15, excluding your friend, and the way that we find these bombs and dispose of them is gruesome and deadly.” The body was bare and was not moving but I recognized who it was. Donnie. I threw the computer on the ground and began to sob uncontrollably. “What the fuck did you do to him?” he put the gun to my head and said. “I’ll end it right her, right now.” I stopped, it took every thing that I had to stop crying but somehow I did it. “Certain people are implanted, at an early age, with this bomb and shortly after the ‘Hosts’ if you will, start to act weird. The get a split personality when implanted, I don’t know why but they do. But when this split personality has taken over the normal person’s body, the Anti-Matter emits a strong radio wave. We think it’s for tracking but we’re not sure.” I look at up at him, my soaked cheeks forming a confused look. “Why are you telling me all this?” he picked up the gun and said. “You deserve to know all this before you die.” His tone was mocking, almost like he was laughing under his words. He pulled the hammer back and said. “We can’t afford a leak” I heard a bang then I was flying backwards and landing on the cold hard cement. My ears where ringing and when I opened my eyes I seen a foot and then felt a hand on both sides of my shoulders.
I was being carried; that much I know. But I didn’t know who was carrying me. I was slipping in and out of consciousness but I finally awoke and it was dark. Somebody was sitting beside me; I could feel it. “you okay?” the figure was in the shadows so I couldn’t see anything then a loud noise then a light came on. I’m in a car and when I look over I see pink and white. I muster “Who are you” “He grabbed me and soon I was took into a deep kiss and then the figure said. “I’m you”
