Because the pastures it likes to graze in don't dry out over the summer, its hooves and wool can't start any fires - trainers bringing caprihorn into arid areas are advised to keep the haughty pokemon appeased; If it becomes insulted or angry it will stamp its hooves and create sparks. In spite of that danger, its wool is so soft and warm that raising caprihorns is almost a requirement for living in the mountains of the Osai region. Caprihorn evolves into auram at level 34.

Auram is a large fire and steel-type pokemon with a noble bearing and a quiet confidence. It walks carefully to avoid making sparks, though in battle it shakes its coat to fill the air with sparks and set opponents ablaze. Auram was the subject of a famous old myth where it was brought to an island and guarded by a dragon, and then returned to the mainland as proof of the hero's own nobility. For this reason, auraum's golden wool was only allowed to be worn by royalty until relatively recent times.
