Yes, in an effort to prove their brothers wrong, Raph and Donnie accidentally turned into couch potatoes, though they shouldn't be so surprised. They could have stopped anytime but instead they forced themselves to sit on their butts for months, forced themselves to eat only the sugariest and fattiest foods, and forced themselves to suppress that underlying urge to exercise. As a result, what were supposed to temporary bad habits to prove a point became permanent as their bodies softened, their muscles atrophied, and they grew content with doing nothing day in and day out on the couch.

They'd become true couch potatoes, but they might not be the only ones for much longer...
