The water, trees, and soil itself is forever poisoned
I've been very busy lately with school. As an art major, my final and more important class is called Senior Studio, and is essentially the thesis statement of being an art student, wherein you do one big project. Mine is essentially an illustration project, and this is one of the pictures I have been working on.

Still, the person saying its in Brazil could be wrong. I can't imagine a tree growing like that under natural conditions. Unless there's a high radiation zone in Brazil I don't know about.
I have a photo of trees growing sideways at about a 50 degree angle from a presentation I did on Chernobyl two years ago, but I can't find a link.
Anyway, your tree is still cool. Don't go trying to build a cubby house in it.
